Amazon.com, Inc.  is an American international electronic commerce company with headquarters inSeattleWashington, United States. It is the largest Internet based company in the United States.  Amazon.com started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified, selling DVDsVHSsCDsvideo and MP3 downloads/streaming, softwarevideo games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and jewelry.

2. Explain how the differing approaches toward electronic commerce are related to the differing goals of the businesses
Answer. Businesses has  different approaches toward e-commerce because with e-commerce it consists of the buying and selling of products and services via the Internet. It includes business-to-business, business-to-consumer, and consumer-to-consumer transactions. These transactions can include online retail sales, supplier purchases, online bill paying, and Web-based auctions. Electronic commerce utilizes a variety of technologies including electronic data interchange, electronic fund transfers, credit cards, and e-mail.

B. Compare Web sites of clothing retailers
Assume that you want to buy a holiday present for a friend or relative. Look at the Web sites of three manufacturers that sell clothing through numerous retail outlets and also through a web site. Examples of such stores include the following, although you may choose to look at the site of other stores:

3. Compare three of these sites in terms of visual appeal, organization, or any other characteristics you believe are relevant to your use of the site.
Gap Inc. is a leading global retailer offering clothing, accessories and personal care products for men, women and children under the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Piperlime, Athleta and Intermix brands. Gap Inc. products are available for purchase in more than 90 countries worldwide through about 3,200 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites.
Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc. (EBH) is an American holding company that operates the Eddie Bauer clothing store chain, headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, United States. EBH was formed after Eddie Bauer's former parent company, Spiegel, Inc., went bankrupt in 2003.
The company LLbean.com, launched in 1995, is among the top-rated e-commerce sites in the industry. Customers can browse and purchase thousands of products online, including sporting goods, home furnishings and casual and active clothing, footwear and much more.

4. Assume you basically know what you want to buy as a gift. For each of the three sites, go through the process of defining exactly which catalog item you want and proceed to the shopping cart page. (Back out of that page unless you actually want to purchase the item you have selected.). As you go through this process, take notes on how many screens you have to go through, how complicated the process seems, and any other factors that seem relevant. Briefly compare the shopping experience at the three sites.
Answer : I would choose and recommend Gap brand because it offers a wide selection of choices ranging from personal care products to accessories and apparels. Their site is easy to access because they don't ask too many requirements when you want to purchase online.

C. Honda Finance
This site is designed to help a Honda customer decide on appropriate financing.
5. Fill in the financial planner calculation and then look at the information about financing and leasing. Explain whether the web page helped you understand you financial options in buying a new Honda.
Answer: Yes the website helped me understand  my financial options when I will want to buy a new car from them.

6. Explain why you do or do not think it is appropriate for Honda to ask you to provide information about your utilities, insurance, child care, and other personal matters
Answer: I wouldn't agree if Honda will ask me regarding my personal information because it would violate my privacy if I would discuss to them things about me. It seem irrelevant, what they need to know is if I would be capable to pay them and what is my source of income.

7. Explain whether you believe these financial planning capabilities are a useful part of Honda's sales approach.
Answer: I do believed the financial planning capabilities are all useful to the for Honda's enables them to know the background of their customers.
